a little about me and this blog

Hi everyone! I think I should say a little bit about why I'm doing this blog and all. Well, I've been reading a friend's blog, about her daughter that her and her husband adopted from Russia. She is chronicling her daughter's life so she can show it to her when she is older. Great idea, Katie! So, I thought, "Well, I love to write. I always seem to have a lot to say. (Okay, unless I'm in a new situation, then I'm a clam. Lol.) And this would be a good release for me. Get it all out there." So here I am. I plan on writing about me, my life, my thoughts, opinions, and feelings, and whatever else I feel like writing. So there will probably be a lot about my dog, Bear, who is a big part of my life and takes up a lot of time right now. And work. And Bill, my husband. And whatever. Hey, it's my blog. I can write what I want!!

And the title. The road less traveled. Inspired by Robert Frost's poem, "The Road Not Taken".

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveller, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

I love this poem. And although I'm sure it isn't always the case, I'd like to think that I take the road less traveled. My own road. It runs right through the heart of Angelopia.

So...read my blog. Get a glimpse into Angelopia. Into my life. Into me.

Rainy morning

Good morning! Let's see...I just created this blog, and will see how it works out. One more reason for me to be on the computer. Bill will be so happy.

Today is the Rascal Flatts concert that I won tickets to. That is at 8 tonight. So I'm spending the day at home (no work Fridays do have their advantages) tiring Bear out and hopefully getting some cleaning done. BRB. Bear was trying to get my keys off the table. Ugh. Another issue to deal with with him.

Okay, I am off to walk Bear...in the rain. We'll see how that goes.

More from me later, I hope.
